Annual Schools Tournament at Alton
Alton Tennis Club held its Annual Schools Tennis Tournament on Saturday 12
June, when over forty children from local schools came to compete for
the Schools Doubles Championship. This event was kindly sponsored by
Alton Sports Council in conjunction with East Hants Sports Council.
The winners of the Years 3 and 4 event was Bentley A, who defeated Selborne in
a competitive final.
Teams from St Lawrence's also took part, with a number of Alton Tennis Club
juniors who take part in coaching sessions held every Saturday morning
at the Club.
