We declare these lights....officially open
Many thanks to all those of you who braved the elements on Tuesday evening to
celebrate the grand opening of our lights, conducted by the Mayor of
Alton, Councillor Allan Chick. 
In fact, the weather did us proud, as did Doug, Rudi and Suzie on the catering
side (lovely mulled wine and hot dogs!).
We are grateful to so many of our local councillors who turned up to support
what was the most significant event since the club was opened 13 years
ago. 
We would also like to recognise our gratitude at the support we received from
the LTA, Grassroots Grant and Hampshire Playing Fields Association.
Without their support and financial assistance the project would not
have happened. Thank you. 
Finally we would like to recognise the achievements of Ross Welch, who was the
first winner of the Sheila Sclater Junior Achievement Trophy.

Alton. 
All in all, a great time was had by all, thanks to all who organised the event
and made it such a success, and to all our members, friends and everyone
else who supported us.
