Sheila Sclater was a founder member of the Club and sadly died 2009.  She was our Club coach for a number of years, a Committee member and also a very important team player.

When she died Alton Scouts (for whom she was Treasurer for a number of years) gave us a shield to award to a Junior on an annual basis.  This is for special services to the Club, not necessarily playing ability.

This year it was the unanimous decision of the Committee to award this Junior Achievement Award to Joseph Mather.  Joseph has been helping with the coaching for quite a time now, he attends regularly, is very reliable and is very willing to assist in any way he can.  Paul Raymont, our Club coach, is very pleased to have Joseph helping him.  Joseph is also the stand-out player in the Junior Section, winning the singles trophy for the last 2 years.
